Problem: Your older HD TV only has a DVI connection for HD and now all products have only have HDMI outputs.

Here's Your Solution: Plug this product into your new HDMI product and connect it to a DVI cable coming out of your TV. Use RCA cables for your left and right sound.

I used this to connect my older HD TV to my Playstation 3 and it works fine.

The connector was in good shape and attached to the DVI and HDMI connectors just fine.

However, the adapter was so wide that it blocked the use of adjacent HDMI inputs on the TV.

Make sure that you have enough room for this product. Buy a cable with HDMI and DVI connectors if you aren't sure.

I use this adapter to connect my laptop to my monitor. The laptop has VGA and HDMI and the monitor has DVI, so this adapter allows me to go from the laptop's HDMI to monitor's DVI. Everything works and looks great, and for a total of about $6 it's definitely worth the price.

I use this since I already have a DVI cable. If you don't already have the DVI cable, I recommend a DVI to HDMI cable, like this one, Eforcity Black 6FT /2 Meter HDMI Male to DVI Male Cable
