So, I figured that I would share that info with you so it doesn't take you several days, as it has for me! First, your product code is in your amazon account software section (it says it is a serial number, but it is only a product code). Then you need to go to this website:[...]. Once there, you can register your product, upload a current student ID, and they take about 2 business days to verify your student status. The manufacturer commented on this review( What's this?) The instructions for submitting the product code and validating your student eligibility are contained in a file called "amazon STE ESD instructions.pdf" that's a part of download version. (I've asked the Educational team and Amazon to change the name of this file. They plan to name the file "IMPORTANT - How to validate and activate your product.pdf" to help make this more obvious) Sorry about that. It's been more than 24 hours since I purchased the software, and I still don't have the serial number from Adobe to unlock the program. Wow, Adobe must have the most arcane product registration process in all of Silicon Valley. As far as I can tell, the issue is not verification of my student status, it's whether or not Adobe understands their own product code. I sure wish this was an Apple product. I would have been using the software within five minutes of the download. What a disappointment. The manufacturer commented on this review( What's this?)
